Bachelorette Ali, her fam, and final two guys Chris and Roberto experienced the trip of a lifetime to Bora Bora for the 'Final Rose.' They stayed at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa nestled in a cove of snow white sand and dramatic lava rocks that are said to be the playground of the Polynesian god Hiro. For the past year, I have been going to the COSTCO way out in Maryland because I thought that was the closest one...NOPE! My friend decided to fill me in on the COSTCO 10 minutes from my apartment...and this one sells booze! Today I bought a case of Corona Light (doesn't that sound delicious in this 100 degree weather?!?) for $20! AMAZING...All of their cases are arond $20...what a deal! I can't believe I never knew the Arlington COSTCO existed!

This picture was from my birthday last year when Oliver surprised me with a night at a B&B, day at the National Portrait Gallery, and Oyster Shooters and dinner at Hanks...Well, it's almost that time of year again ... So at 3:30am this morning Oliver told me my birthday present was hidden in our apartment...yes I know my birthday isn't until the 27th but Oliver and I don't know how to keep a gift a secret...what can I say, we are givers. So I delayed getting ready for work and looked EVERYWHERE...He gave me one hint- he said, "Something Outstanding Finally Arrived"...wtf does that mean right? Well after focusing on my present instead of getting ready for work, I realized Something Outstanding Finally Arrived...it was hidden in the Sofa! I ran over to the Sofa...threw the cushions off like a mad woman...and there were 3 jewlery boxes from my favorite NYC designer: www.laurahelendesigns.com and inside those boxes were three gorgeous necklaces...Thank you so much Oliver!!! I am so lucky to have you in my life :) ...and the celebrating continues of course...this weekend a BBQ and next weekend we are going to a B&B at the beach! Finally!

Last night was the BEST OF WASHINGTON event and it was WONDERFUL! From Coco Salas incredible mojito chocolates to Cavas Oh so delicious beet salad to 1789s yummy scallop roll....it was so fun to try a variety of food! What a great event! My vote goes to CAVA...I went back for seconds...love me some beets :)

Last night was the Best of Washington event thrown by Washingtonian Magazine....and we got to meet Mike from Top Chef and current chef of Zaytinia restaurant in Chinatown. Despite his rude behavior on the show...he was SUPER nice and not at all what I expected!...You also can't tell by this pic but he was rockin a little mullet and actually pulled it off!

Angelina and her boo Brad hit the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie Salt last night in LA . Angelina looked fresh faced and just absolutely stunning in this sequined Armani dress and Brad of course looked oh so steamy in this Tom Ford three-piece suit. Is it just me or does Brad look like he is getting younger since he shaved that homeless beard? Is he the real life Benjamin Button?

"DATE NIGHT"
For the past 2 years, I have wanted to try Bistro Lepic and Wine Bar in Upper G-town/Glover Park. Every time Oliver and I pass it, I always say "One day we just have to finally go!"...well, after 2 years ...we FINALLY went (thanks to my boss who gave us an extra push saying it really is just as awesome as I think it is) So, Friday night we rang the Bistro Lepic door bell and walked upstairs to the cutest little wine bar I have ever seen.
This picture doesn't even do it justice...the place was straight out of Paris - The decor and atmosphere was so cozy and just absolutely perfect. We started off with delicious Salmon Tartar paired with a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc. We then shared an incredible cheese plate paired with Pinot Noir. The staff is super knowledgeable about wine so we loved all of the recommendations they gave us for our first Bistro Lepic experience. Wednesday thru Monday all glasses of wine are 1/2 off and Tuesday nights from 6-8 they have free wine tastings...so there is always a deal going on! I highly recommend this place...let me know what you think!

"HILLS AWFUL ENDING"
Just watched The Hills finale episode and O M G....HOW AWFUL. As if the show wasn't ruined enough they had to end with THAT!?!
Here's what Brody had to say...
"We filmed a couple different endings and we didn't know which one they were gonna use. There were some other ones that were great as well."One of the other endings, Lauren [Conrad] was in it. She had come back into the show for the last episode. I come back home, and basically Lauren's at my place [and I tell her about saying goodbye to a friend]. We filmed this whole lovey-dovey scene as if me and Lauren had been together this entire time. So it was another fun, cool ending."He went on to say that the ending the producers eventually chose was "perfect" because it left the viewers wondering what was real and what was fake on the show. "It's kind of like LA in a sense," he added. "I thought it was very clever and I was happy with it. I was stoked they were ending it with me. I was flattered."

So a couple of months ago, I went on a double date with then couple Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jaime Kennedy...ok fine, they came in studio but we were all drinking coffee at the same time so it was kiiiiiiiiiiind of like we were on a double...ok fine not really. ANYWAYS, I just found an article 4 random facts about Jennifer Love Hewitt...and #1.) She watches two episodes of "Friends" every night before she goes to bed....SHE IS SERIOUSLY MY TWIN...Everyone knows I am a FRIENDS FREAK...Next time I see her I will have to bring along my friends trivia game...JLH is going down!

"A much needed getaway!"
Over the weekend Oliver and I escaped to Lansdowne Resort- just 45 minutes outside of DC! Our schedules have been so opposite lately that we could not wait to just hang out and spend time together at this gorgeous resort.
The place was beautiful...the wine DELICIOUS (especially their Lansdowne Reserve from Tarara Winery pictured below) and the staff made us feel so at home.

For my birthday, Olivers mom took me to a cooking class at L'Academie de Cuisine. It was so fun!...We made delicious Blackberry Crostada with White Chocolate Ganache, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with Mixed Berry Compote, and Strawbery Shortcake. Everything was oh so delicious! I think we are going to do the Macaroons class next....and theres an ice cream one thats obviously calling my name.

According to www.radaronline.com Jillian and Ed followed in Jake and Viennas footsteps and called off their engagement...not surprised..he seems greasy and she's just way too hyper. I get that majority of the time the relationships on the Bachelor/Bachelorette fail miserably, but I am still so addicted!! Hopefully the current Bachelorette Ali is the next Trista...but less annoying.

"MOVIE REC"
Last night we watched An Education starring Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard. The film is a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl in 1960's suburban London, and how her life changes when she meets a guy nearly twice her age. This movie is fantastic and Carey Mulligan is simply brilliant...not to mention her wardrobe is incredible.

So two years ago my birthday theme was GREEN (not for the environment...more like an excuse to drink dirty martinis and wear my green Trina Turk dress...) and then last year it was HOLLYWOOD (an excuse to have a red carpet) and this year for my big 25th....it's an old school field day complete with hurdles, potato sack races, water balloons and more!...I need help with ideas...how can I make this cheap and fun? It looks like Tiger Woods will be shelling out $750 million to his soon to be ex wife Elin in a record-setting divorce settlement. In exchange, she is never allowed to publicly speak about Tigers affairs not even when he dies...no books no interviews no appearances...nothing! The settlement also states Tiger may not introduce any new women to his kids unless he is getting re-married. I hope Uchitel was worth it!

"ECLIPSE!"
Yesterday at 1:10 I went to see Eclipse at the UPTOWN....my friends and I made a day of it with a pitcher of sangria first...delish on a hot summer afternoon. We all agreed...this film was 1,0000 times better than the previous 2. The chemistry between Edward and Bella and Bella and Jacob was oh so steamy...loved it!...One complaint: BELLAS HAIR. Who thought it was a good idea to put 10lbs of hair extensions on KSTEW? She had NO forehead and was hunched over because the hair was no joke weighing her down!
Other than that- GO SEE IT!

I saw ECLIPSE yesterday and could not believe how terrifying the trailers were before the movie...one trailer was for a movie called BURIED...ABOUT a guy, you guessed it, buried alive and then another trailer was for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2. This trailer was FRIGHTENING...had I seen it at night I would have slept with the lights on (thats what I had to do for weeks after seeing the first one....yeahhhhh sorry Oliver) luckily it was 1 in the afternoon! Anyways, I came home to read this article:
The trailer for new horror movie Paranormal Activity 2 has been pulled from cinemas in Texas because of complaints it is too scary.The promo for the film started to run in movie theatres prior to midnight screenings of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on Wednesday. The clip caused cinema-goers to complain to bosses at the Cinemark chain about the frightening footage. U.S. host Ryan Seacrest even took to his Twitter.com page to warn film fans about the trailer, writing, "Paranormal Activity 2 teaser trailer... hold someone." Officials at Cinemark have now removed the promo from a number of complexes in Texas, reports Variety. »
